The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
